Wings look to start a new streak after first win in nine games

It took 21 days and 11 games for the Detroit Red Wings to get their second regulation victory of the season.  The win improves their road record to 1-5-1. After 69 games and more than 15 months, Thomas Greiss became the first goalie other than Jonathan Bernier to win a Red Wings game. So here are your projected lines for tonight’s game:

Super Bowl Sunday was a pretty good day for most of Florida. A 4-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings may have stung a little less, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers winning the Super Bowl. Sergei Bobrovsky is expected to return to the net after backup Chris Driedger played on Sunday. Bobrovsky is 3-0-1 with a .881 save percentage this season.

    Detroit Red Wings

A surprise healthy scratch for Sunday’s win was forward Anthony Mantha. After the morning skate, head coach Jeff Blashill decided not to clarify if Mantha will return to the lineup, and so he remains a game-time decision. Out for the Red Wings is Luke Glendening; he took a hard hit from Panther’s defenseman Radko Gudas on Sunday. He joins Tyler Bertuzzi and Jonathan Bernier on the day-to-day list.

Returning after being recalled from the taxi squad are forwards Mathias Brome and Givani Smith.

Filip Zadina – Dylan Larkin –  Givani Smith

Mathias Brome – Robby Fabbri  –  Bobby Ryan

     Christian Djoos – Filip Hronek

    Marc Staal – Troy Stecher
